In November 1979, Iranian students seized the U.S. Embassy in Tehran and took 66 Americans hostage. Kathryn Koob, one of two females held captive for the full 444 days, and Kathleen Stafford, one of the hostages able to escape in the CIA Argo mission, talked about their experiences during the Iran Hostage crisis 40 years later. The Chicago Council on Global Affairs hosted this event. close
