The Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee held a hearing to examine the revenue sharing arrangement for federal onshore and offshore oil and gas development. The committee heard testimony on how that revenue is distributed to and reinvested by federal, state, local, and tribal governments. Witnesses included experts from the Interior Department and Congressional Research Service as well as the mayor of North Slope Borough, Alaska, and representatives from the offices of Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards (D) and Wyoming Governor Mark Gordon (R). close
