Historian Alex Kershaw talked about his book, The First Wave: The D-Day Warriors Who Led the Way to Victory in World War II. Using images, he described the first round of Allied soldiers, including U.S., British and Canadian divisions, who stormed the Normandy beaches on June 6, 1944. His remarks were part of a conference hosted by the National World War II Museum in New Orleans. close
