Julián Castro, the former Obama administration housing and urban development secretary, announced in a video posted to Twitter that he was suspending his campaign for the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination. In the video, Mr. Castro thanked his supporters for their work on his campaign. He also said he wanted to push for changes in the Democratic nominating process, which he said needed to change to be more inclusive of voters across the country. close
