The Senate voted in favor of limiting debate on Peter Gaynor’s nomination for administrator of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). Senators also unanimously passed a resolution honoring the late former North Dakota Senator Jocelyn Burdick. Senator Burdick, who died December 26, 2019, at the age of 97, was the first woman to represent North Dakota in the Senate and the oldest living former U.S. senator. close
