Edward Ayers gave the keynote address at a commemorative ceremony for the 150th anniversary of the First Battle of Bull Run, also known as First Manassas. The ceremony was held at Henry Hill, the site of decisive action on July 21, 1861. The ceremony included local, state, and federal officials, an invocation, a performance by the United States Army silent drill team, and music by the Quantico Marine Corps Band. close
