During this second portion of day 2 of the Senate impeachment trial of President Trump, House Democratic impeachment managers and the president’s defense attorneys debated a proposed amendment from Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) that would subpoena White House documents for the trial. House Democratic impeachment manager Representative Zoe Lofgren (D-CA) during her argument used digital slides and graphics as well as videos, including footage from the House impeachment inquiry hearings and of remarks made by the president during a speech that Article II of the Constitution means, “I have the right to do whatever I want as president.” close
