In a multi-media presentation, artist Wendy Allen showed examples of her own and other artist’s works and talked about her influences and reasons for painting Abraham Lincoln. Since the early 1980s, Ms. Allen has made use of a variety of art styles to paint over 400 portraits of Lincoln. Ms. Allen concluded the program by discussing, “One Hundred Nights of Taps,” a summer-long daily tribute to veterans held at Gettysburg National Cemetery. The Lincoln Group of the District of Columbia hosted this event. close
