In this third and final portion of day 3 of the Senate impeachment trial of President Trump, Representative Adam Schiff (D-CA), the lead House Democratic impeachment manager, resumed his opening arguments. Democratic House impeachment manager Representative Zoe Lofgren (D-CA) then continued opening arguments, detailing the president’s actions after a whistleblower complaint against his July 25, 2019, phone conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr.Zelenskiy. Representative Schiff closed out the arguments for the day by outlining the president’s alleged cover-up efforts. Throughout their presentations, Representatives Schiff and Lofgren used digital slides, graphics, and videos, including footage from House impeachment inquiry hearings and images of text message exchanges. close
