Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell held a news conference after a board meeting. He announced the central bank would hold interest rates steady in a range between 1.5 to 1.75 percent. The decision marked the second straight meeting the Federal Reserve made no changes to its benchmark funds rate. In addition, Chair Powell talked about the economic implications of the coronavirus outbreak as well as phase one of the U.S.-China trade deal. close
