House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) held her weekly legislative briefing, addressing the coronavirus outbreak and the upcoming presidential election. She told reporters that the Trump administration’s response to the coronavirus has been “opaque” and “chaotic” but added that they were close to a bipartisan agreement in Congress on a way forward. She also addressed questions that some Democrats were concerned about the possibility of Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) being the Democratic nominee for president. Speaker Pelosi said her responsibility was to win the House. close
