Historian and author Mitch Kachun talked about his book, First Martyr of Liberty: Crispus Attucks in American Memory. Professor Kachun explored how and why Attucks, a former slave who was killed at the Boston Massacre, has sometimes been celebrated and other times forgotten or vilified by Americans. The American Antiquarian Society hosted this event to mark the 250th anniversary of the March 5, 1770, Boston Massacre. close
