Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced that the U.S.-Canada border would be closed to all non-essential travel in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic. He also announced an $82 billion dollar economic aid package to support families and businesses during the crisis. The prime minister addressed the nation from his home in Ottawa as he completed his 14-day self-isolation period after news that his wife tested positive for the virus.
