California Governor Gavin Newsom (D) held a press briefing in Sacramento on the state’s coronavirus pandemic response. He spoke about precautions being taken at prisons, the need for more medical equipment, and the efforts by the Army Corps of Engineers to address facility and logistical needs. He also updated the current numbers in the state to 2,100 positive coronavirus cases and 40 COVID-19 related deaths, with 50 percent of the positive cases effecting individuals 18-49 years of age. close
