The governor provided an update on the total number of confirmed cases, hospitalizations and deaths in the state. Gov. Cuomo said modeling showed the apex could hit the state in seven to 30 days, but that they believed it to be closer to the shorter end of that range. The governor called on manufacturers to help produce critical personal protective equipment, such as gloves and gowns, and said the state would cover the costs to convert the facilities and would buy the products at a premium.
