At the top of a coronavirus update briefing in London, British Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab said the Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s admittance to the hospital was a “precautionary step” and that the prime minister Johnson was in “good spirits” and still leading the government. Several reporters questioned the foreign secretary on the the prime minister’s health and ability to lead the government since being diagnosed with COVID-19. Mr. Raab also provided an update on the U.K.'s current totals -- with more than 51,000 testing positive and over 5,300 deaths. Other questions focused on bringing British nationals home who are stranded abroad, emergency relief funds for the unemployed, and providing more medical equipment for health care workers. close
