President Trump and members of the White House Coronavirus Task Force held a briefing on the federal government’s response to the pandemic. The president spoke about the testing the United States has completed, approaching the downward side of the curve, and keeping the coronavirus numbers below estimates. He also spoke about looking into health care disparities in minority communities and continued his criticism of the World Health Organization. President Trump announced several states that will begin making phased steps into reopening the economy, with some of those states starting the process as early as Monday, April 20. The states mentioned were Texas, Vermont, Ohio, Montana, North Dakota, and Idaho. close
