South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster (R) held a coronavirus briefing at the University of South Carolina Alumni Center in Columbia. Governor McMaster announced he was changing the previously mandatory “home-or-work” order to voluntary starting May 4. He also announced outside dining would be allowed at restaurants that can accommodate social distancing guidelines. The governor removed restrictions on short-term vacation rentals and ended the self-quarantine orders for those coming from out of state. Governor McMaster said more restrictions may be lifted at a later point depending on case numbers. close
