Kent State University planned a campus commemorative program to observe the 50th anniversary of the May 4, 1970 National Guard shootings that left four students dead and nine wounded. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, they produced a virtual ceremony for their website and YouTube Channel. This program included footage of the deadly confrontation between Ohio guardsmen and students protesting the Vietnam War, and recollections from wounded survivors and eyewitnesses. close
