Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts (R) held a briefing in Lincoln on the state’s response to the coronavirus pandemic. Topics included the distribution of personal protective equipment, the success of the Payroll Protection Program in the state with 80 percent of payroll covered with the first round of funds, and the increase of testing around the state. He also addressed Memorial Day, saying that gatherings and celebrations of more than 10 people were still prohibited, but the state would be broadcasting a virtual Memorial Day recognition service from the state’s Capitol rotunda so people could participate all across Nebraska. close
