Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT), a 2020 Democratic presidential candidate, spoke with Robert Costa, Washington Post national political reporter. They talked about the federal response to the coronavirus pandemic and the upcoming 2020 presidential election. Senator Sanders said the Trump administration’s response to the pandemic was “atrocious,” and he urged the White House to safely reopen the economy. Later, he was asked about former Vice President Biden’s 2020 Democratic presidential campaign and other related issues. He also said he thought the chance he would run for president again was “very, very slim.” close
