Dr. William Schaffner, Vanderbilt University preventative medicine and infectious diseases professor, talked about the latest research developments on the effects of COVID-19 on the human body. He also discussed research into the effectiveness of masks and other facial coverings and took questions from viewers.

Kendra McMillan, American Nurses Association senior policy adviser, talked about nurses' clinical care roles with COVID-19 patients across the country. She described the stresses and challenges nurses and nursing assistants faced during the pandemic, and answered viewer questions.

Representative Gerry Connolly (D-VA) spoke about the coronavirus response in his northern Virginia district, which includes a large number of Washington, D.C.-area federal workers. He also talked about the next likely steps for lawmakers as they sought to mitigate some of the economic impacts of the pandemic. close
