A House Financial Services subcommittee held a virtual hearing with financial regulators on their response efforts to the coronavirus pandemic. Witnesses included Federal Reserve Board Supervision Vice Chair Randal Quarles, Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) Chair Jelena McWilliams, National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) Chair Rodney Hood, and Comptroller of the Currency Joseph Otting. They were asked about Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans for small businesses, Federal Reserve lending programs, assisting U.S. territories, and efforts to help community banks and credit unions. close
