Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Andrew Wheeler testified about the agency’s role in the coronavirus response as well as its overall mission and priorities during a Senate oversight hearing. One of the EPA’s roles is fast tracking the approval process for disinfectants effective at combating the virus. Administrator Wheeler said as of May 2020 there were more than 400 EPA-approved products.
