President Trump spoke with reporters following a closed-door meeting with Senate Republicans on Capitol Hill. The president expressed optimism in the country’s coronavirus numbers and said he expected the economy to rebound quickly. President Trump defended his use of hydroxychloroquine as a preventative drug against the coronavirus, saying a lot of frontline health care workers use it and that “it doesn’t hurt people.” He also praised former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn and criticized House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA). “Pelosi is a sick woman,” said the president. “She’s got a lot of problems-a lot of mental problems.” close
