House Judiciary Committee Democratic members held a virtual discussion on the Trump administration’s response to the spread of the COVID-19 in prisons and jails. They discussed the high rate of infections in the prison system, the need for the release of some low-risk inmates, and the lack of care provided to prisoners during the coronavirus pandemic. Joining the conversation with committee members were advocates for inmate rights and criminal justice reform. close
