He also apologized for a CNN reporter and camera crew being arrested while covering the protests the previous night. Governor Walz was joined by Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison along with leaders from the Minnesota State Patrol and the National Guard. After the briefing concluded, the state later announced that the police officer who was seen on video kneeling on George Floyd’s neck before he died was arrested and charged with murder.
