Governor Wolf said that the protests “have done their intended job” as he announced several steps he would be taking to address potential police misconduct in Pennsylvania. His plan includes a review of police training curriculum; the creation of a police advisory board; a state-level law enforcement commission to look into police misconduct; a deputy inspector general to stop waste, fraud and abuse; and the creation of a subcommittee to look at racial and ethnic disparities. The governor said the purpose of these actions would be to build community and encourage transparency in order to “make our democracy better for everybody.”
