Former Deputy National Security Adviser Ben Rhodes joined the UCLA Center for International Relations for a broad discussion on foreign policy and national security. Mr. Rhodes, who served in the Obama administration from 2009 to 2017, spoke about how the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, reshaped American politics and led to a series of national security and foreign policy decisions that continue to influence the political landscape, both domestically and abroad. He also talked about the impact of the coronavirus pandemic and the rise of China’s influence. close
