President Trump participated in a roundtable discussion in Florida on supporting the Venezuelan and Cuban people while countering their political leaders and government policies. The president used the event as an opportunity to frame his 2020 presidential opponent, former Vice President Joe Biden, as the embodiment of what the Cuban and Venezuelan panelists disliked about their home countries' systems of government. The president called Mr. Biden a “puppet” of the “militant left,” and claimed “nobody will be safe in a Biden America.” close
