The Senate met to vote on a number of Executive branch nominations and the National Service Bill. After the bill, they held a vote for the nomination of Ruth Bader Ginsburg to be an associate justice of the Supreme Court. After all of the votes, they turned to appropriations for the Department of the Treasury, the US Postal service, the Executive Office of the President, and several smaller entities. close
