Vice President Mike Pence and Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA), the Democratic vice-presidential nominee, took part in a debate at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. They debated several topics, including the Supreme Court, the economy, the federal response to the coronavirus pandemic, climate change, and racial justice. After the vice president spoke about law enforcement, challenging the record of his opponent while she was California attorney general, Sen. Harris said she “will not sit here and be lectured by the vice president on what it means to enforce the laws of our country.” The debate was moderated by USA Today’s Susan Page. close
