Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer (D) addressed a kidnapping plot uncovered by state and federal law enforcement. She said 13 members of two militia groups were facing charges for plotting to kidnap and “possibly kill” her. Governor Whitmer recalled President Trump’s statement during the first presidential debate to “stand back and stand-by” and said they were heard as a “rallying cry” to white supremacists. The governor called on Michiganders to unite to fight against COVID-19, which she said was the “real enemy.” close
