University of Utah Political Science Professor David Buhler taught a class about presidential debates and their influence on voters. He used examples from previous debates such as John F. Kennedy and Richard Nixon in 1960 and outlined strategies campaigns might use depending on whether a candidate is ahead or behind in the polls. Professor Buhler taught the class prior to this year’s vice presidential debate, which took place October 7 at the University of Utah. close
