Author and National Public Radio correspondent Pam Fessler discussed her book, Carville’s Cure: Leprosy, Stigma, and the Fight for Justice. It looks at the history of the residential hospital for Americans with leprosy in Carville, Louisiana, which began operation in 1894 and closed in 1999.
