During a Washington Post virtual conversation, White House National Economic Council Director Larry Kudlow talked about the U.S. economy and the status a coronavirus pandemic economic relief bill. Mr. Kudlow discussed the record 7.4 percent gross domestic product (GDP) growth in the third quarter, calling the economic recovery in the U.S. “self-sustaining” and warned against another shutdown of the economy. Regarding negotiations between House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin on the relief bill, he said further discussions would only happen after the presidential election. close
