Ms. Kunin, former governor of New Hampshire, spoke to an audience attending a summer education workshop sponsored by the Rockefeller Brothers Fund. The fund holds its workshop to encourage minorities to enter the teaching profession, and to aid the creation of new curricula for the nation’s schools. She discussed the goals of the Department of Education, and spoke on how the department seeks to implement its policies on education. Following her prepared remarks, Ms. Kunin responded to questions from members of the audience. close
