1988 Democratic presidential candidate and civil rights leader Jesse Jackson, 1992 independent presidential candidate and billionaire Ross Perot, and others participated in a forum on the North American Free Trade Agreement. Rev. Jackson and Mr. Perot gave speeches on NAFTA and other economic issues, and then responded to questions from panelists and members of the audience on current economic, political and civil rights issues. Mr. Perot came out strongly against the North American Free Trade Agreement, which he said would result in jobs leaving the U.S., while Reverend Jackson criticized federal policies which serve political interests rather than the interests of all segments of the American population. close
