Jamaican Prime Minister P.J. Patterson spoke in a news conference on U.S.-Jamaican relations. Along with other leaders from Caribbean countries, the prime minister met with President Bill Clinton earlier in the day. In the news conference, he discussed issues raised in the meeting with the president, including the North American Free Trade Agreement and other trade issues. The prime minister took questions from the members of the press assembled at the meeting. close
