A panel of political scientists spoke on presidential rhetoric in a forum during the convention of the American Political Science Association. The panelists spoke on presidential speechwriting and communication during recent presidential administrations, including the Eisenhower, Kennedy, and Nixon presidencies. The panelists responded to questions from members of the audience following their prepared remarks. The program included a humorous videotape on congressional reform proposals originally shown to members of Congress attending a congressional retreat earlier in the year. close
