A panel of political scientists spoke in a forum on the relationship between the president and the Supreme Court during the convention of the American Political Science Association. In the forum, the speakers discussed the president’s choice of an attorney general and Supreme Court nominees, former presidents' remarks on Supreme Court decisions, and the attempt by President Roosevelt to “pack” the Supreme Court in the 1930's. The panelists responded to questions from members of the audience following their prepared remarks. close
