California Governor Gavin Newsom (D) announced that the state is on track to surpass its ICU bed capacity if Californians do not take additional steps to slow the spread of the coronavirus. Governor Newsom and California Health and Human Services Secretary Dr. Mark Ghaly said they are considering more broad stay-at-home orders if COVID-19 cases continue to surge in the state. The governor also addressed plans to distribute a coronavirus vaccine and said the state is expecting 327,000 doses in the next few weeks. close
