Missouri Governor Michael Parson (R) gave an update on the state’s response to the coronavirus pandemic. He thanked his constituents for following mitigation efforts over the Thanksgiving holiday, but reminded people that they are “not out of this situation by a long way,” and that they “have to continue this same aggressive nature.” Due to a shortage of doctors and nurses in the state, Governor Parson announced the state has partnered with national health care provider Vizient to bring “additional staff and further expand capacity” to prepare for a potential surge of coronavirus cases. close
