Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee Chair Ron Johnson (R-WI) spoke with reporters about the Electoral College certification of President-elect Joe Biden’s victory over President Trump in the 2020 election. “The fact of the matter is, once the Electoral College votes and one candidate gets more than 270 electoral votes, that’s the president-elect,” he said. Senator Johnson was holding a hearing that day on the security of the 2020 election, which he said was necessary to restore confidence in the electoral process. close
