Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) spoke about the fiscal year 2021 defense authorization, and explained why the Senate would attempt to vote that week to override President Trump’s veto of the measure. He went on to talk about the most recent COVID-19 relief bill. He was followed by Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-NY), who encouraged the Senate to approve the increased stimulus and the veto override attempt.
