Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, provided an update on the coronavirus pandemic at a virtual event hosted by the Economic Club of Washington, D.C. He addressed the recent surge in COVID-19 cases and fatalities, challenges with the vaccine distribution process, and implications of the new COVID-19 strains. Dr. Fauci was also asked about his new role as chief medical adviser for the incoming Biden administration. Economic Club of D.C. President David Rubenstein moderated the conversation. close
