Federal officials held a briefing to discuss the latest on COVID-19 vaccine distribution efforts. At the start, Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar outlined new distribution guidelines, announcing the Trump administration would release the entire vaccine supply rather than hold second doses. In addition, he urged states to provide shots to the most vulnerable, specifically people 65 and older and individuals with preexisting conditions. Other speakers included Operation Warp Speed Chief Operating Chief General Gustave Perna, and Centers for Disease Control Director Dr. Robert Redfield. close
