President Biden departed the White House for Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. Before boarding Marine One, the president spoke briefly to reporters, saying he planned to visit wounded service members and see the COVID-19 vaccination distribution process at Walter Reed. When asked about COVID-19 relief legislation, President Biden said, “I support passing COVID relief with support from Republicans if we can get it. But the COVID relief has to pass. There’s no ifs, ands, or buts.” close
