Acting U.S. Capitol Police Chief Yogananda Pittman delivered a statement on the eve of the one-month anniversary of the January 6 attack on the Capitol. She talked about the efforts being made by the department to safeguard the Capitol, support police officers and their families, and learning from the internal review of the attack. In her brief statement, she said, “the January 6 attack forever changed this department, but working with Congress, we can and we we will make it for the better.” close
