The White House COVID-19 Response Team held a briefing on the Biden administration’s efforts to combat the coronavirus pandemic. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky updated guidance and stressed the importance on wearing well-fitted masks to help slow the spread of the virus. She also said it was estimated that one to four percent of COVID-19 cases in the country were the U.K. variant. The officials also discussed vaccine outreach to minority and underserved communities. close
